Milling/Decking: Without modifying the intake manifold, LS1 heads can be taken to 62cc chamber volume. The LS6 can be taken down to 60cc.

      You don't want LS1/LS6 241/243 heads on a stock 5.3L with dished pistons as it will lower your CR! GM added the 4.8L flat tops to the 5.3L when they switched to the 243/799 heads on the 5.3L HO's and the Gen IV 5.3l's. You could bore to the LS1 pistons run them and get a set of ported 243's.

My choice of those were based on the roughly 10.5-11 to 1 ratio and the fact that the ported 243's would flow a little better than the stock 317's.

    What is the casting of the heads?? you already have 241 heads, 243 heads are ls2 and flow better, and the 853(I think thats right) heads are vt ls1 and belong in the bin. EDIT: also didnt the vx clubsport come from the factory with 3.9 diff gears? or was that just the GTS?
